The “NQ Global Startup Gateway” sponsored by Osaka Prefecture is a global x implementation type training and co-creation program that leads future medical startups to the "world standard" starting from Nakanoshima Qross.
This event is a selective pitch event where 16 promising startups aiming for global expansion in the life science field will present the results of their training program, which lasted about six months.
Through the pitch selection process, three companies will be selected to advance to the next phase (Phase 2), and the selected companies will be offered the opportunity to participate in the UK Immersion Program, which includes executive mentoring and connection to the UK ecosystem. In addition, networking opportunities with business companies, investors, and support organizations will be provided to promote the creation of new collaborations and partnerships. The main highlight of the event is that 16 life science startups that have undergone a six-month development program will take the stage and compete for their achievements and growth potential in a selective pitch event. This is not a mere presentation, but a “challenge event” to select promising startups from Nakanoshima, Osaka, to take on the global market and connect them to the next growth opportunity. The event will also include a networking session attended by business companies, investors, and support organizations, providing startups with not only an opportunity to be selected, but also a place to gain new contacts that will lead to future collaborations, funding, and overseas expansion.
This is an opportunity to experience Nakanoshima Qross' function as a global start-up center in the field of future medicine.
Keynote speakers will be Hiroshi Ishiguro, Professor at Osaka University and President and CEO of AVITA Corporation, and Yoshiki Sawa, President of the Foundation for the Promotion of Future Medicine. Through a dialogue between leading experts in different fields, Mr. Sawa, who has led the industrialization of regenerative medicine, and Mr. Ishiguro, who is advancing the social implementation of avatars and AI, will present perspectives that will be applicable to the entire event: how to implement cutting-edge technologies in society and deploy them around the world.
We invite you to experience the functions of Nakanoshima Qross as a center for the industrialization of future medicine and a new model for the creation of startups that will challenge the global market from Nakanoshima, Osaka.
