After opening remarks by Mr. Jun Miyagawa, President of MIRACLE SCIENCE INNOVATION Corporation, and introduction of mentors in this program, Mr. Katsuya Ishitani of the Life Science Industry Division, Commerce, Industry and Labor Department, Osaka Prefecture, the host of this program, gave his opening remarks. Next, Mr. Junichi Higashi (Medtech Actuator LLC), one of the lecturers of this program, gave an overview of the program. Mr. Azuma explained that this program is a completely new acceleration program based on the collaboration of three companies, AstraZeneca, Cambridge Consultants, and MedTech Actuator, and he explained the program and mentoring provided to the selected participants, as well as the UK immersion (overseas travel support program to Cambridge, UK) scheduled to be implemented in 2026, etc. The program will be implemented in 2026, and the UK Immersion (an overseas travel support program to Cambridge, England), etc., were explained again.

Next, 15 representatives (one absent) from 16 companies selected for the program gave short pitches, introducing themselves, their business outlines, current issues, and expectations for the accelerator.



Afterwards, a 20-minute x 3-turn roundtable discussion was held by the mentors and companies selected for the mentoring program in order to deepen exchanges among the selected companies and mentors, as well as among the selected companies, and to explore in depth the issues faced by the selected companies.
Each of the three tables was assigned a theme, such as (1) the adopted companies' self-identified advantages, strengths, and weaknesses, (2) their visions for the next five years and the hurdles they face in achieving them, and (3) what specific support they need.


At each table, all of the selected companies who participated offline on the day spoke about their own ideas, strategies, and concerns, including their passion for future business growth, current challenges and gaps toward their future goals, and issues they would like to discuss with the lecturers. In addition to feedback from the mentors, the roundtable was a friendly and relaxed event, with questions and answers and exchanges of opinions among the participants.


After the roundtable, three mentors (Mr. Lei Liu, AstraZeneca Corporation, Mr. Takuya Matsui, Cambridge Consultants, Inc. and Mr. Junichi Higashi, Medtech Actuator, LLC) gave a wrap-up of the roundtable and their messages for future programs based on the roundtable. After the event, networking time was set aside for active exchanges of ideas and opinions between the mentors and adopters, providing a meaningful opportunity for participants to deepen their connections with each other.
