What is NQ Global Startup Gateway?
The NQ Global Startup Gateway (Nakanoshima Qross Global Startup Creation & Hub Promotion Initiative), hosted by Osaka Prefecture, is a life-science startup aggregation and acceleration program aimed at establishing a globally competitive startup ecosystem and creating startups that can succeed worldwide. To firmly secure Nakanoshima Qross as an industrial hub for next-generation healthcare—beginning with regenerative medicine—the program strengthens the functions that attract and develop life-science startups, the driving force behind this goal.
For life-science startups, it is essential to plan for international expansion from the very outset of commercialization. This requires mentoring and funding from globally active accelerators, investors, and corporates to adapt their businesses to global markets. Accordingly, the initiative will offer Nakanoshima Qross–original development programs designed to cultivate globally active startups, while consolidating and enhancing the presence and capabilities of startup support organizations at Nakanoshima Qross.
Implemented Programs
NQ Health Accelerator Program [Global Accelerator Program]
Promoting efforts to bring together promising life science startups in collaboration with Nakanoshima Qross (NQ) and create globally active startups through the provision of tailor-made startup support programs and overseas travel support programs. AstraZeneca, Cambridge Consultants, and MedTech Actuator have teamed up to focus on overseas market development under the title of "NQ Health Accelerator Program" by leveraging each other's strengths. The program is a tailor-made global accelerator program focused on overseas market development.
NQ Version COO Human Resource Development Program
The “Nakanoshima Qross COO Development Program” is a talent-development initiative for Japan-based startups, adapted from 82VS Venture Studios (Alloy Therapeutics) and its COO (Chief Operating Officer) training program run for U.S. startups.
NQ Version of Bio-Catalyst AI Accelerator Program
This program leverages Deep Intelligent Pharma’s cutting-edge AI and global domain expertise to transform promising startups into investor-ready companies.
